Silver Medal AWC VIENNA, Gironia Biferno Rosso DOC Riserva and Molise Falanghina Doc image

We are proud to announce that our wines: Gironia Biferno Rosso DOC Riserva 2010 and Molise Falanghina DOC 2017 have been awarded with silver medal at the international wine challenge AWC VIENNA, the largest officially recognized wine competition in the world. 12.402 wines from 1.716 producers out of 39 countries faced the 2018 edition of this international challenge, tasted by a commission of 228 professional members. We are very pleased to share with you this new award on our wines!

We are pleased to announce that, at Merano Wine Festival 2018, Gironia Biferno Rosso DOC Reserve 2010 got the gold medal for the outstanding quality expressing finesse, elegance, body and harmonious interplay. From over 5.000 wines tasted, about 2.500 have received the coveted accolade. Among these excellent wines, 54 are candidated to the PLATINUM Award, the most important trophy of this wine challenge, given to the wines that have distinguished themselves for excellence and uniqueness.

5 wines Borgo di Colloredo have been tasted at 100% Blind Tasted by Andreas Larsson, Best Sommelier of the World – ASI Here you are the results:   Gironia Biferno Rosso DOC Riserva 2010 Dark core and a ruby rim. Dark fruit with an herbal spiciness and liquorice. Rather full palate, still a dense and youthful texture with firm tannin. Long finish but still a bit restrained needing time to soften and open. Gironia Biferno Bianco DOC 2017 Medium deep straw colour. Floral notes, stone fruit and hazelnut. Fresh palate, good extract, citrus zest, fresh young fruit, a rounded acidity and a rather long finish. Greco Terre degli Osci IGT 2017 Bright straw color with a golden hue. Medium intense ...
