AN ANCIENT HISTORY

DEEP ROOTS AND ENDURING TRADITIONS. A RUGGED, EVER‑CHANGING LAND, GUARDIAN OF A FASCINATING AND ANCIENT HERITAGE.

Whether it was the ancient Daunian city of Cliternia, reorganised under Emperor Augustus and recorded by Pliny the Elder, who wrote, “Flumen portuosum Frento, Teanum Apulorum, itemque Larinum, Cliternia”; the Cliternia identified by Philipp Cluver as the small oppidum known today as Campomarino; or the legendary Cliternia of Diomedes, said to have been destroyed by the Hungarians together with the Apulian city in AD 947, one certainty remains: this land preserves a history that spans millennia.

A tribute to this remarkable heritage lives on in the names of the estate and its wines.

Here, vision and determination are woven into symbols and names that offer a gateway to this enduring legacy.
